The Assembly Generator provides a means of describing variations
within a family of design and the rules for choosing between them.
What's important is that you can do this without programming.
Diagrams and spreadsheets-like formulas, the lingua franca of
engineers, capture the configuration rules. Linking to and orienting
geometric elements is equally easy using Genus' innovative "asset
builders" to capture them "by example". Just enter
your inputs to create a beautifully rendered SolidWorks model of a
unique design.
You are not limited to supressing and unsupressing components of
pre-defined models.
|
You can, as the name implies, generate new
compositions of assemblies, varying not just parameters, but parts
and subassemblies as well.
You can integrate with databases, parts libraries and existing macros
to create a powerful design tool specific to your product needs.
